How to brighten eyes in Photoshop
In this part of the blog, I will share the entire process of How to Brighten Eyes in Photoshop . It is a simple and easy method, but it can backfire if you can't execute it properly. So don't be afraid, embrace it. Let's move on to the details:

How to Brighten Eyes in Photoshop - Method 01: Using a Curves Adjustment Layer
Open the photo in Photoshop to duplicate the layer.
Go to the adjustments panel located on the right side of the screen and select the Curves adjustment layer.
A pop-up window will appear with a curved panel. You will find a graph showing a slanted line and you need to drag the right curve from above to lighten it. However, when you drag it up, it will lighten the entire photo. We can fix this later by applying Color Correction to the photo . But for now, focus on the eyes.
Invert the mask by holding Ctrl+I for PC or Command+I for Mac. You will now find the photo in its normal form, because the modified one has been moved to the back. As a result, the box next to the adjustment layer will turn black.
Go to the left side of the panel where you will find the toolbox. Select the brush tool from there. As a shortcut you can hold down B on your keyboard.
In this case, make sure the foreground color is white while the background is black (the box below the toolbox)
Change the brush size according to the size of the eye.
Now use the zoom tool to zoom in on the eyes and carefully apply paint to them. Be careful not to paint the outer irises. If you do this by mistake, it will make them look weird.
If the effect looks brighter than it needs to be, apply the finishing touches by dragging the curve down. Alternatively, you can lower the opacity of the Curves layer.
You have finally successfully brightened the eyes in your photo.
How to Brighten Eyes in Photoshop - Method 02: Using a Levels Adjustment Layer
As before, open Photoshop and load the photo. Here, the image is set as the background layer.
Go to the bottom of the layers panel and select the New Fill, alternatively known as the adjustment layer, shown as a circle in black and white.
From the list option that appears, select the levels.
It will create a new layer named Layer 1 above the previous background layer.
Go to the Properties panel and you'll find the options for processing the Levels adjustment layer. But we don't need those. What we need is to change the blending mode of the adjustment layer.
Go to the top left corner of the layers panel and find the blending mode set to normal by default. Then change the mode from normal to screen.
As soon as we change the Normal mode to Screen, it will make the photo brighter. But our goal is not to lighten the entire picture. We expect to lighten only the eyes. So we need to fix that.
Using Image Masking Service , we can easily protect the part we don't want to change and release the part we need to change.
By applying the image masking, you can find the layer as white color by default. This is because white color shows the visible parts of the photo. On the contrary, black represents the opposite result. So, to protect the part of the image, we will provide the layer mask with solid black.
