Burnout can sneak up on us in a way that changes our attitude about almost everything – everything seems to become a “flat line”. People who are at the peak of burnout often feel like nothing in their lives matters anymore – and then they start neglecting their health and physical appearance, not investing time in maintaining relationships with others, running away from responsibilities at work and not completing their work tasks, etc.



While it may not necessarily be a result of burnout, it often is. People who are on the verge of a “breakdown” can often change their eating habits – especially if they are individuals who always watch what they eat. Have you recently found yourself eating whatever and whenever you can? Do you consume your meals in front of the computer, in the car, standing, or running between meetings?



Sleep disturbances
How have you been sleeping lately? Are you italy whatsapp data having trouble falling asleep? Are you waking up more often during the night? Are you having restless sleep? All of these can be indicators that something is bothering you – and they often turn out to be signs of a state of burnout.





How to prevent burnout?
Despite the fact that the situation sometimes seems hopeless, there are a number of steps and actions that each of us can take today to prevent further negative consequences of burnout:



Take a vacation.
The best way to stop the harmful effects of burnout is to get out of the workplace that is causing it. Get out of it now, right away! And don't come back for at least 10 days, and preferably 15. When we are burned out, any association with our workplace only makes the situation worse - we need to make a cut.



Establish harmony.
We can't talk about burnout without mentioning work-life balance. What does harmony even mean? Is burnout always caused by overtime and an increased workload? No. It's much more important to remember what's important to us (in work and in life in general) and what makes us happy – because when we do a job we love, it's no problem for us to stay at work a little longer sometimes.



Know your own limit.
Do you know when enough is enough? How do you know? Is it a situation where you are delegated an amount of work that you simply cannot handle? Maybe it is an internal feeling of satiety? When you start having problems with your appetite and sleep? The biggest problem that makes burnout sneak up on you so insidiously is precisely that – we do not know how far our body can go. And that limit is different for everyone.
