Technical SEO is an optimization performed on a website mainly for Google robots . It includes areas such as: indexing, SSL, structured data or website loading speed . During the implementation of technical SEO, we focus (as the name suggests) on the technical aspects of our website such as the structure of headings, the use of meta tags or image optimization. The implementation / improvement of these factors is intended to facilitate the work of indexing robots . There are hundreds of technical factors that determine the results of our positioning and the algorithms are constantly changing. It is easy to get lost in Google's requirements, but knowing the simple assumptions behind the complicated indexing process, we are able to fight for the best positions without resorting to attempts to fit into the current "algorithm trends".

Technical SEO is mainly focused on robots , so before delving into its specifics, you should be aware of the assumptions that guide complex indexing algorithms . Google adapts the actions of its crawlers (the robot that searches the page) based on increasingly reliable statistics - with varying results for SEO specialists (you've probably heard about the change in the algorithm and the related changes in positions for individual phrases). The second one is a description of the above position - the meaning of this tag has been slightly depreciated compared to its role in the past, but it is worth knowing that if the searched phrase is found in it, it will be bolded , suggesting to the interested party that the given page may contain exactly what they are looking for (see "Marketing agency" in the photo). The optimal length of the text in title and description is limited by the width of the space designated for it (Google specifies the width in pixels). Text that is too short may simply not tell the user much, while text that is too long is cut off. The width of the space designated has changed over time, but in our experience, the optimal tilt is within the range of 50-70 characters, and description 220-230 characters. As for the content of the above tags - one might think that it would be best to simply write out keywords in the title and description ( keyword analysis ) allowing robots to index our site under them. First: it simply doesn't work, second: what would a person think if they saw a conglomeration of keywords in the title and description. Remember that our goal is to attract a user to the site. Sometimes, instead of writing out keywords, e.g. in the description, it is worth using a catchy slogan - which will interest the user, provoke them to enter.
Summary
When we start technical SEO, we come across a list of hundreds of guidelines, the fulfillment of which will allow us to index more efficiently, visit Google robots more often and, as a result, increase the position of our website in Google results. The necessity for the SEO specialist to adapt to the multitude of constantly changing recommendations can embarrass a beginner. However, I think that now, if we realize and remember that Google's goal is not to satisfy the whims of robots but to reach and serve the best content to users - the decision about what to enter in the title tag, alt photo or where to use the strong tag becomes much easier to make.
