On behalf of the company, it is sent for verification to WhatsApp via the messenger marketing platform you use. Moderation takes approximately 2-6 hours, in rare cases the verification time can be extended by a day (most often this happens if the template is taken for manual verification).
Those templates that were created in compliance with the following rules are guaranteed to pass moderation:
No signs of obvious advertising in the message.
There are no offensive statements or threatening content in the material.
The presence of words such facebook database as "Contact", "Subscribe", "Payment", "Registration" and so on in the template. This indicates that the recipient is waiting for your notification.
No content that violates WAB policy and WhatsApp trade policy.
By adding variables to the template, you will be able to substitute the value required for each individual client before sending the message.
How message template approval occurs
We would also like to recommend that you adhere to the following additional rules:
Please proofread the template to avoid spelling and/or grammatical errors.
Work with context. For example, if you are writing a template for returning to a dialogue, we recommend mentioning in it that you have already communicated with the client before.
If you want to add a URL, the domain in the attached link must belong to your organization. In addition, WhatsApp does not recommend using URL shorteners like tinyurl, bit.ly, and others, as they mask the likely destination of the link. Again, let us remind you: WhatsApp does not check the content of messages, but only templates, so you can easily embed the URL in the button or insert it into the variable part.
Templates containing keys are subject to separate control. Therefore, it is necessary to determine in advance the buttons that will be included in it: phone, link, response, etc.
Before sending a template containing media for moderation, determine the type of this content. It is impossible to approve models with both PDF and JPG/PNG. The content of the files does not pass the check, but they must be attached at the template stage, and you will not be able to send them without attachments later.
You can view the status of a model message in the personal account of the messenger marketing platform you are using. A template undergoing moderation can have six statuses:
Sent for moderation.
Under moderation.
Confirmed, that is, approved.
Rejected, i.e. not agreed upon.
Marked (not yet available for sending), meaning you have received a warning, as such templates are often marked as spam.
Blocked (cannot be sent), i.e. disabled due to low quality of messages.
If after the approval of the template message, clients start complaining about spam, the quality of such notification will be significantly reduced, and the status will change to "Marked". If within a week it can return to its previous quality, then the status will be returned to it - "Confirmed". If after the template receives the status "Marked", its quality within a week does not increase to medium or high, then it will be assigned the status "Blocked". Such m
