Students prefer iPad over sex
Kelton Research conducted a rather strange study among students in the US. The main conclusion of this study was that 73% of American students would give up sex for an iPad. The real outcome of the study is that students would like an iPad so that they no longer have to lug books around. 71% of students say they would prefer digital books via an e-reader, iPad, smartphone or a laptop (as a last option). The main reason for this is that students are fed up with the high costs and the weight of all the books. American students are clearly ready for the New Education.

87% even say they save on their books because of the high tuition. The difference between a hard copy book package and an e-reader + books is also huge, from $2,400 to $200-300 for an e-reader and then a little bit for digital books. 50% of the students surveyed also say they have to cut back on food and drinks because of the high cost of books. Only 19% would cut back on alcohol to be able to afford books.

An iPad is great fun during your studies. But what do you do if you lose your iPad? Or if your power runs out during an important lecture? You don't have to worry about that with hard copy books. Read more about this special research here .
