Video Media Source: A method for bringing live video into Producer via RTMP or HLS
Video Media Source
Before you can import videos and broadcast live on X, you need to create a video media source . There is no limit to the number of media sources you can create, but we recommend reusing one or more media sources in your account to simplify your live broadcast experience.
If you previously created a media source in Periscope Producer, you will see it in the Media Studio media source list.
NOTE: If you are creating content to be viewed as a scheduled live stream, you will need a media source created with Media Studio Producer.

Once you have created a media source, you can create live broadcasts , which are how people on X will watch your live video. You can live broadcast immediately or schedule a live broadcast for the future. You can also create private live broadcasts to use for creating clips in LiveCut.
To start live streaming with Producer in Media Studio, we support RTMP and HLS. Follow the instructions for each below to create a media source and start live streaming on X.
