Noindex pages with no unique content

Post by Rina7RS »

Most websites will have some pages with duplicate content.

It doesn't matter.

This becomes a problem when these duplicate content pages are indexed.

The solution? Add a “noindex” tag to those pages.

The noindex tag tells Google and other search engines vietnam mobile database not to index the page.

The noindex tag
You can use the Check URL feature in GSC to double-check that your noindex tag is set correctly.

Pop in your URL and click "Test Live URL".

Google Search Console – Test live URL
If Google is still indexing the page, you'll see the message "URL is available to Google." This means your noindex tag is not set correctly.

Google Search Console – URL is available
However, if you see the message "Excluded by 'noindex' tag," then the noindex tag is working.

Google Search Console – Excluded by noindex tag
(This is one of the few times you want to see a red error message in GSC????)

Depending on your crawl budget , it may take Google days or weeks to recrawl the pages you don't want to index.
