In a way, the logo is the “first impression” of the company, isn’t it? In some cases, it’s the first thing the customer sees; over time, it’s what will make customers remember the company. Therefore, the creation of the logo needs to be planned to convey a message, to translate what the company or business is.

When you understand how a logo is made, you realize that there is a lot involved beyond aesthetics . There is a concept, and the logo design is usually the starting point for a complete visual identity.

I've been designing logos for a while now. So, I decided to write a post pakistan number dataset the entire process involved in creating a logo, but I'll tell you right away that this is my process: every designer has their own way.

Logo and its importance
I think I've already summed up the importance of a logo at the beginning of this post. A logo, in addition to making a first impression, will also be remembered by the company.

For example, if you see a giant yellow M on the horizon, you know you’re going to find a Big Mac there. If you want to send a message to someone on your smartphone, when you see a green icon with a speech bubble and a phone inside, you know that’s the app you need.

In other words, you don't need a description or to read a name. An image is enough .

In some cases, the logo serves as a certificate of quality. If you have a favorite brand, you will always choose its products. So, when you are at the market, all you need to do is see the brand's logo on a product and you will know that you have found what you are looking for.

In some areas, the logo serves as a signature to identify who created the project. In general, everything you like has a logo: from your favorite team to your favorite app.

So, if a logo is important to quickly identify a company, product, television channel (and so on), it must be a visual representation of that company. It doesn't matter if the design is extremely obvious or has some hidden message : pardon the pun, the logo has to be striking.

And when the company's visual identity is well done, you start to remember the brand even when there is no logo: some details, such as styles, elements and even color combinations, already let you know which company is behind this communication.

Explanation of concept, or defense of the logo
It is also important to develop a defense of your logo. This is an explanation of the logo in a more, let’s say, “salesy” (or institutional) way.

It is common to find the meaning of the company logo on the “About” page, along with mission, vision and values.

Don't get me wrong: having to explain a logo doesn't mean that the logo is poorly made or difficult to understand . In some cases, the image that the company wants to convey is present in its logo in a way that isn't so obvious.

For example, the Unilever logo is made up of twenty-five icons that represent what is important to the company. You can't tell this just by looking at the logo, because it goes beyond the obvious.

From a lock of hair, which symbolizes our shampoo brands, to a spoon, an ice cream, a pitcher, a tea leaf, a hand and more, every icon has a meaning.

With a logo defense, the company can approach its audience in a more human way, in a way. That's why a concept is important.

The importance of a well-defined visual identity
Visual identity is, basically, the entire set of elements that are part of the company's visual communication.

Everything has a standard. Therefore, there are rules for everything that must be respected when creating all brand materials, such as correct use of the logo, typography, colors, iconization, styles in general, and so on. Normally, all of this is defined in the brand manual .

When there is this standardization, everything refers to the brand – the logo. Therefore, the logo is usually the first step in a visual identity: it is from this art that visual communication begins to be defined precisely to reinforce the brand's recall.

But, of course, this makes more sense when the company works on its advertising in different media, such as TV commercials, print ads, physical stores and so on.

Each case is different. For example, the visual identity of a website is usually simpler and does not require a complete manual.
