How the Facebook Ad Auction System Works

Facebook advertising is managed by an algorithm
Every time you log in to Facebook as a user, the system will show you, among the thousands of ads available, the one that best suits your target, gender, geographic area, interests, ...

If it were to show you every ad you were targeted for, you would have the system blocked and quickly run away. Instead, since this is what Facebook absolutely does not want to get to, the paid ads end up in an algorithm that determines the most relevant ad.
