This threat is in line with Russian offensives in recent months against GAFA , including during the Russian legislative elections. Moscow has indeed increased pressure on foreign technology companies as part of a long-term campaign aimed at asserting greater sovereignty over its segment of the internet, in particular by requiring companies to store Russians' personal data on its territory.
