One of the project management terms to know is Quality Assurance which is a project management principle that prevents a company from magnifying errors and avoiding exposure to risks. It guides managers in developing quality products, setting standards of excellence and removing pitfalls. Quality assurance, therefore, focuses on delivering not just a complete package but industry-best results to maintain and grow a customer base.

Quality management
Project managers seek excellence not as a one-time success, but as a sustained effort. Quality management ensures the consistent delivery of quality services, products, or other deliverables throughout the project lifecycle. Its identifiable characteristics are functionality, performance, suitability, consistency, and reliability. An organization establishes its standards to measure these levels on a project-by-project basis.

Quality planning
This aspect of project planning helps decide the priorities of a project.
