UTM tagging of links is simply necessary if you need to track the effectiveness of an advertising campaign in Google Adwords. To reduce the amount of manual work during tagging, you can use automatic tagging (tokens), into which Google itself will substitute the necessary values.
The full list is quite large, but the following tokens are most often needed:
1. Search Advertising Tokens (paid search)
{matchtype} The match type of the keyword key features of office 365 database that triggered the ad: exact, phrase, or broad (represented by the Latin letters e, p, and b, respectively).
{creative} Unique ad identifier.
{keyword} For search engines, this is the keyword that triggered the ad.
{adposition} The position of your ad on the page, indicated as 1t2. This indicates that the ad is in position 2 at the top of page 1.

&utm_content={keyword}
&utm_term={creative}--{adposition}
2. Content Network Tokens (CNN content)
{matchtype} The match type of the keyword that triggered the ad: exact, phrase, or broad (represented by the Latin letters e, p, and b, respectively). When targeting by keywords.
{creative} Unique ad identifier.
{keyword} For sites on the Display Network, this is the most appropriate keyword.
{placement} The domain name of the website where the ad was clicked.
{target} The category that the placement belongs to (e.g. travel or sports). When targeting by interests.

3. Sometimes it is useful to mark it like this:

&utm_term=txt-{creative}--{keyword}{target}--{placement} - for text KMS
