This week in the Infographic Day series : the use of social media by small organizations. Nowadays, a lot of research is being done on the use of social media by organizations. This is also the case by Social Strategy1 , which, in collaboration with OfficeArrow , a community for small organizations, conducted research among 343 organizations. The majority of respondents indicated that they employed fewer than ten employees. Here are some striking results from the research.
Of the respondents, 73 percent indicate that they have access to social media via smartphones or other mobile devices. More than three quarters of the organizations (88 percent) indicate that they believe in the power of social media for their business. But more than half of the organizations (67 percent) do not dare to invest in social media. The reason: they do not know where to start.
The fear of these organizations lies mainly in the fear of sharing confidential chile phone number list or sensitive information or that there are too many social media to manage. There is also fear of information overload. In addition, entrepreneurs have the idea that they cannot meet the expectations of social media users. I am curious how Dutch entrepreneurs view this. Is this recognizable or do you have suggestions for (small) organizations?
