VR and health standards: immersive experiences must reinvent themselves

Even though there have never been so many VR users on Steam (around 2 million according to the Upload VR site ), "People still have trouble investing in a VR mask at home today. They first need to be able to test, understand and appreciate this new medium," notes Camille Lopato, co-founder, with her brother Marc, of Diversion cinéma, which specializes in organizing VR cinemas.

With the aim of offering experiences to a wider architect database audience, they designed and built the duo virtual reality station, Viktor Romeo, which can be deployed in any location. It contains two virtual reality masks and a tablet offering the possibility to browse and select 360° films from a catalogue.

The observation of the public's strong enthusiasm is confirmed each time they are offered the opportunity to test VR experiences at exhibition venues, events or festivals ( Arles VR , the Natural History Museum , the Forum des Images or even Venice VR , Sundance , Tribeca ).
