IMPORTANT: When you use this keyboard shortcut, you override the default setting in Microsoft Edge, which is to show the Favorites bar only when you open new tabs. So you either turn the Favorites bar on permanently or turn it off permanently with this keyboard shortcut.
2. How to enable or disable the Microsoft Edge Favorites bar in Settings

Only on new tabs - This is the default setting. The Favorites bar only appears when you open a new tab. Once a website loads in the active tab, the Favorites bar is hidden to make room for the content you want.
Then, to change its settings, right-click or long-press on the Favorites bar to open the context menu. Open Show Favorites bar and choose the desired setting: Always , Never , or Only on new tabs .
