Questions are one of the most converting blog post titles. They are very powerful in our minds as they directly target one of our deepest qualities: curiosity. Just seeing the question mark stimulates our brain. The best question headlines ask something that the reader would like to know the answer to, or something that the reader can empathize with or identify with.

Many websites have gained millions of clicks by taking advantage of a psychological phenomenon called the “information gap.” Professor G. Loewenstein coined this term to describe the gap between what we already know and what we want to know. When our minds sense a gap in our knowledge, a feeling of deprivation occurs. We then search for the missing piece of information to stop feeling deprived.

But for this to work, and to spark our curiosity, we need to have at least a modicum of prior knowledge about the topic. We are not curious about something we know absolutely nothing about. The art of a good blog post title that converts the most lies in revealing just enough information to keep the reader interested, but without giving away too much to the point that they no longer need to click to find out.
For example: “8 out of 10 Argentines don’t know this secret for the perfect barbecue”; or “When you finish reading this, you will never look at your neighbors the same way again.”
This type of headline was very popular a few years ago, but now that people have become accustomed to it, the sense of curiosity that it arouses is no longer as strong.
3. Surprise
Surprising headlines are winning headlines because our brains love new things, things that break with routine. The brain's pleasure centers are activated much more when faced with an unexpected pleasurable event than when faced with an expected or planned pleasurable event.
According to research by multiple neurologists and neurolinguists, presenting something unexpected to our brain (breaking a pattern) will help you capture your interlocutor's attention. In the case of headlines, we need to not only capture attention, but also generate interest to keep the reader.

You won't always be able to surprise people, because by trying to do so you will create a new routine or pattern for your readers. But it is something you should keep in mind to implement periodically and obtain the best blog post titles that convert the most on your website, since it provides excellent results.
4. Numbers
Numbers make great headlines because most of the time, people prefer predictability to uncertainty. That's why our brains create patterns and routines to classify and evaluate events, things, and people. Predictability gives us security.
Imagine that you are doing a procedure with many other people waiting next to you. Knowing that you will be served in half an hour is not the same as being told that you will be served in a few moments. The wait in both cases can be for the same amount of time, but in the first case you will relax knowing that it will be half an hour before your turn comes. In contrast, in the second case, you will spend the whole time tense and expectant.
