Big data view in SeaTable 3.1
Data records in the Big Data backend support all column types and can be changed and deleted, filtered and grouped. Data records can also be moved back and forth between normal and Big Data storage. On the switzerland rcs data other hand, the editing options for Big Data data records are technically inferior to those in normal storage. There are restrictions in particular when it comes to sharing, automation and plugins: Views that include data from the Big Data backend cannot be shared. Also, only the statistics plugin can handle data records in the Big Data storage. All other plugins and automations can only use normal views. Big Data data records cannot be linked either. If this is necessary, they must first be moved to normal storage.
The Big Data storage must be activated in a base via the settings. The transfer of data from the normal to the Big Data storage is done via the “Archive view” function. The contents of the Big Data storage can be displayed in a Big Data view. In addition to the data records in the normal storage, Big Data views also load data from the Big Data storage. Initially, the view only loads 1,000 rows from the Big Data storage. These can be identified in the table editor by the gray triangle in the row number column. Such rows can be moved back to the normal storage via the context menu. To display additional Big Data rows, scroll past the end of the table or click on “Load all” in the status bar.
