Words of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz with which we underline the necessary balance of companies with their environment , without which order and coexistence would not be possible.


From this statement, after looking back to times not so far away, we can highlight that progress in controlling the impacts of companies on their environment, consolidating a comprehensive vision of organizations and analyzing risks from a holistic perspective has been advancing at a pace that can unquestionably be improved.

Let us take the etymological meaning of “corporatio” (from the verb corporare –to form a body- plus the suffix tio –action and effect-) as a construction that acts , with the effects derived from that linkedin data fact, and let us add to it, not only at an ethical but strategic level, the concept of responsibility . And thus let us answer the reason for the existence of the organization (purpose), with which we are allowed to consolidate the DNA of the company (values), with which we ensure the achievement that we wish to achieve (vision) and determine how to reach said goal (mission).

A reason that responds to the needs and interests of a society that, as a dynamic structure, is being modified by a change in perspectives, where the vision and assessment of the long term is being strengthened against the “tyranny of the urgent”, thus supporting personal and collective values ​​from the triple environmental, social and economic balance.

A reason that guides organizations towards a more integrative and strategic vision of business , in order to respond to the demands of an increasingly responsible consumer, aware of social and environmental causes, which will force companies to strengthen their commitments to trust and security, making the difference between business growth and development even clearer .

In this sense, returning to the idea of ​​“contact with the ideal self ” by Goleman , Boyantzis and McKee in “ The resonant leader creates more ” , and extrapolating this approach to the corporate sphere, we could underline the need to work on the purpose and values ​​of organisations to ensure that positivism that allows us to overcome obstacles and generate a series of synergies that have a positive impact on other organisations, championing the motivation towards sustainable development as a key to success , and therefore as a key element of excellence in the market.

The readjustment of the triple balance forced by a situation of rupture with the existing, under the demand of a rapid adaptation in which no one is left behind, places us - with the optimism of finding this purpose - in an effective moment for a comprehensive transformation in favor of sustainable development, to rebuild an order in which to coexist from the responsibility of action. This is the moment!
