In a stressful situation, an involuntary reaction to stress manifests itself in focusing on possible negative consequences, looking for someone to blame. The manager begins to drive himself into the "problem frame". Therefore, the right mental attitude is important here to concentrate on the "result frame".

Result frame

To consciously get out of stress, you need to ask yourself the following questions:

What is the purchase shareholder database desired outcome?

What do I want?

How can I achieve this?

What can help me?

How will I know when I have achieved the desired result?

What steps need to be taken to achieve it?

What can I learn from this?

Technique:

Step 1. Reframe the problem into a situation. Describe the circumstances in detail, using only objective facts. Emotions should be turned off as much as possible.

Step 2. Formulate an image of the desired result. Describe a favorable resolution to the situation and the actions that can lead to it.

Technique for switching between circles of attention
There are three circles of attention: small, middle and distant. The small circle contains the person himself with his feelings and bodily sensations. The middle circle includes a larger area – other people, events happening at the moment. The distant circle of attention is the person’s entire life, his social environment, his activities.

Circles of attention

In a stressful situation, a person reflexively focuses attention within a small circle and closes in on their unpleasant feelings. As a result, control over current events and the ability to quickly respond to changes in the situation are lost.

To reduce the intensity of the stress reaction, you need to switch your attention from the small to the middle and far circles.

Technique

Take a break. Talk to your colleagues, find out how work is going in departments, what worries employees or your partners.

Consider the stressful situation in the overall context of your work, recall the events that have occurred over the past six months, and fit this situation into their series.
