Marketing companies spend millions on market research to understand how relationships are shaped between users on social networks, but ClickZ magazine suggests that there is a major overlooked issue: the fact that users compartmentalize their lives.

In this sense, the analysis suggests that there are band data many contacts that are left out of the list, many groups to which the user is not exposed and many behaviors that are not expressed since Facebook is a conjunction of many aspects of life but it can also be the development of one in particular, which leaves the rest out.

The barrier between what is public and what is private is certainly something that has been present since the beginning of the Internet, but until now no one has considered in the business world: what happens if users do not want to be our contacts?

For ClickZ, it is key to recognize that not all friends are the same and it is important to advocate for the existence of filters that allow reality to be closer to the representation on the Internet.
