Growing within the community

We started an annual photo contest via Zoom.nl. The campaign was in line with the WNF Happy End campaign of spring 2010, and with the new WNF motto Pass on the Earth in 2011. All members of the zoom.nl community were allowed to participate in the contest and participants automatically became members of the WNF group. The Zoom magazine in which we announced the campaign was delivered on the day before Ascension Day: a free weekend in which many people go out into nature.

We used our own media to promote the action; all social media channels of WNF and namibia phone number list Zoom (Linkedin, Twitter, Hyves, Facebook), but also our own magazines (Panda and Zoom.nl), websites and e-zines. And of course a simple instrument like the 'signatures' (signing of e-mails) of our own WNF employees.

In terms of paid media, we opted for targeted advertising. Targeting photographers via Facebook and Google Ads made more sense to us (and of course much cheaper!) than a generic ad in a national newspaper.
