Relate to the core of the company

Reason 4: Intranet context
"We need a central place to share information and news." This is the main reason for setting up an intranet. This statement is almost always made by a central organization (or part of it), such as the communications department. An intranet is then set up and rolled out (after some user research has been done). But if there were no intranet, would employees still get their news and information? And how would they do that? Usually this is done using e-mail.

The context of the intranet, the 'tools' that are already used for the work make it difficult india phone number list for the intranet. 'Why is your central place better than my own collection of applications? I can get the work done without the intranet.'

Reason 5: Intranet Evolution
Related to reason 1, people and companies change all the time. New markets are addressed, new employees join the company, etc. But most intranets don’t change. They are digital and don’t support the things that really matter in the company. And the intranet doesn’t need to change either, because it doesn’t

Reason 6: Intranet itself
Related to reason 4: the intranet that is centrally conceived is also centrally designed. 'They' decide what information you need for your work. 'They' decide how best to navigate. And so on. Also, all company information is crammed into it, because it is the central information and communication hub. So, for example, work method descriptions are put on the intranet, while everyone knows that they are outdated the moment they are on it.

What do you think?
I am curious what you think of my list. Do you (dis)agree with this list? Are there any points you would like to add? I would love to hear from you. Finally, I will soon publish a blog post about why intranet is (or should be) so easy .
