To use Windows Defender, open Windows Security on your PC from the Start menu or Search.
Go to the "Virus and threat protection" section.
Then perform a quick or full scan preferred, but takes longer to detect and remove possible viruses. To perform a full scan, click the Scan Options button.
9. Reset virtual memory
Virtual memory is a convenient solution in Windows to virtually expand your memory when your computer runs out of RAM. It uses your hard drive as a swap space to store some files and programs. However, sometimes it can get corrupted and take up a huge amount of disk space. Resetting virtual memory will help if it is the culprit.
To reset virtual memory, type sysdmplin the Run cyprus telegram data dialog box and press Enter.
Go to the Advanced tab in the System Properties window that opens.
Click the Settings button in the Performance section.
Go to the Advanced tab and click Change under Virtual Memory.
Uncheck the "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives" box.
Make sure the drive where Windows is selected default is C: Then select the Custom Size option.
In the Initial Size text box, enter the value specified in the Recommended setting, in our case 1905.
For the maximum size, enter a value that should not be more than 1.5 times the size of your RAM. You can enter a smaller value, but since we're trying to limit disk usage, don't make this number too large.
