What tools do we use to evaluate a website?

Post by sakibkhan22197 »

If we are unsure about a website (we don't want to exclude positive backlinks), we resort to our tools.

Visibility:

In the first step, we analyze the website's visibility using Xovi and Sistrix. Normally, either tool namibia phone number data would be sufficient, but especially in the niche site sector, the results from the two tools can differ significantly. The keyword portfolio is still very different.

Domain Rating:

At the same time, we check the URL using ahrefs. Of course, we pay attention to the domain rating (DR). Websites with a low score themselves have a very weak link profile, which is usually not a good sign. Of course, one shouldn't jump to conclusions here. Niche websites or very new websites in particular initially have fewer backlinks. However, that's no reason to exclude them. After all, a link profile should be balanced. And that naturally includes supposedly "weaker" backlinks.

We also pay close attention to the backlink-to-referring domain ratio. If a website has 10,000 backlinks but only 20 referring domains, something might be wrong and should be checked.

LRT (LORT and Power/Trust)

If a website is very strong, but we're still unsure whether the link source might be toxic, we turn to LRT. It offers a link simulator that allows us to evaluate a link source.

If we have positive values here and the LRT Power*Trust is also positive, then we don't have to worry anymore

How often do we check our backlink profile?
The frequency with which we review our backlink profiles varies from website to website. Especially for new websites/clients, we perform a very thorough review of the backlink profile once, because we don't know what link building measures have been implemented in recent years. Subsequently, we review the link profile in detail quarterly to semi-annually, and perform a quick monthly check using Ahrefs.

However, as soon as we detect a negative trend in traffic or visibility, we will also conduct unscheduled, detailed analyses.

Conclusion:
If you depend on organic traffic, I would highly recommend that you always have a proper disavow file ready so that you can react immediately in case of a penalty.

If you generally have only a few backlinks, the effort required to conduct a brief analysis is very minimal. Large corporations with several hundred thousand or even several million backlinks tend to shirk the effort. Furthermore, the idea that "more backlinks = good" is unfortunately still ingrained in many minds, which often results in quality suffering.

If you lack background knowledge on the topic or simply don't have the time for it, it's best to find an agency you trust and have your link profile thoroughly checked.
