According to the most recent data published, there are over 51 million Internet users in Italy , 83% of whom are also active on social channels, which are particularly appreciated by Internet users in our country.

The use of mobile devices increases in 2023 compared to 2022 with more than 81 million connections and a penetration rate of 138.7%. A greater number of connections, but also more time spent on mobile devices, which reaches a percentage of 50.8% of the total time spent online.

But what are the main activities carried out online?

On the other hand, there was a slight decline, also due to the rise in inflation, for the electronics sector (-3.5%) and jewelry, whose decline is mainly measured in terms of items sold.

After the boom linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, the e-commerce sector continues its growth in a more structured manner and is preparing to seize all the new opportunities linked to digital evolution.
