The artist and his team
Daniel Canogar 's life has been divided between two continents. His father was Spanish and his mother American. He began his studies in photography, specialising in a master's degree at New York University in 1990.

Since Big Data dominates a large part of the information we manage, our environment is constantly changing and we hardly spend time creating links between people. As the artist points out, we are faced with an intangible reality. And this is what he wanted to represent.

According to the artist, "we find ourselves in a constantly changing world, very software-like in its behavior, where nothing remains the same and everything changes, which generates instability and unrest in the citizen."

The project and the works
The project, which took 3 years to create, is made up of 6 different works that have a common goal: to show the reality that affects us so that we become aware of it. Canogar aims to make the public reflect on the algorithmic reality that we have experienced since the emergence of Facebook and the permanent flow of information to which we are subjected.

Each of Daniel Canogar's works is made up of algorithms , which have been transformed into animations close to pictorial abstraction. Expansiveness and visual excess are precisely what they intend to communicate, for example, through "Cannula" - an algorithm that searches for themes on YouTube and, after downloading them, they dissolve just like in our minds.

This is a project that has been a success in the art sector and, thanks to current technology and the artist's ingenuity, has managed to make its own mark.
